What information do you have about your audience?
The information that i have on the audience is that the target audience is of the age range 16-24.
What might you include in your thriller to ensure it appeals to them?
In my thriller i might include a crime thriller. The reason I would include a crime thriller is because in the age range of 16-24 they are most likely to watch this sub genre within thrillers.
What advantages are there to making your thriller for this audience?
The advantages of making this thriller for this audience is that they are gone stay engage throughout the thriller. Another advantage for making this thriller for this type of audience is that the age range watch more thriller than any other genre as well as them having a stronger interest in thriller.
What challenges do you foresee in making your thriller for this audience?
The challenges im going to face when making this thriller for the audience is including what appeals to them and making it good and interesting.

1) The thriller conventions I have to include in my work would be scenes including killing/deaths as this entertains the target audience of this client audience. I will have to include conventions that appeals to the target audience for example dark humour, drugs, romance/relationships, gangs etc, to make/keep them interested/intrigued when watching this thriller.
How might you include each convention?
2) I might add these conventions to the thriller is by having a close up of a knifes when a killing is going to be taken place this will interest the target audience as this is what they’d be interested in. Having a close up of details that will appeal to the target audience is good as it will keep them hooked on to watching the thriller. Drugs and gangs will appeal to the target audience as they associate with it now a days. Dark humour 16-24 year olds tend to laugh at very dark stuff regardless if its a serious situation or not.

My institution for my thriller is being produced for Warner Brothers.
What information can you find out about this institution?
Warner brothers produce film for mostly all genres. Warner Brothers recent Sci-fi thriller that has just been released called “gravity” recently brought in a $55.6 million turn over from 3 575 theatres.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of working with this institution?
Advantage about working with this institution is that they have many good resources and have good experience within the industry, and the employees speak well and good for their company. Disadvantages of working with this institution would be the company is very resistant to change and their decisions are often made by the committee which requires long time periods of consensus building.
Considering your target audience, what regulatory issues must you consider in the UK?
The regulatory issues i would consider in the uk is the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)

The sub genre that will fit my type of text best is crime thriller.

The purpose of the opening scene of a movie is to introduce the characters and give you a general notion of what the story is about. By using a theme or genre that appeals to or piques the audiences' attention, this further engages the viewers.

How does it introduce the characters and settings? | With the use of editing and slow-motion walking, each of the primary characters is presented to the audience. In each of the concluding sequences, we see one of the men severely hurt as the other man tries to get assistance. | A strange montage that focuses on a person writing a book, sewing fabric, and shaving their dead skin. |
